FACTS!!! AMADOU SAMBA WAS NEVER ARRESTED IN DAKAR, ZEINAB JAMMEH ALSO WAS NOT IN DAKAR TO INVEST EVEN A SINGLE DIME. SENEGALESE OFFICIALS TO BE MORE PRECISE INTELLIGENCE OFFICIALS VIA BABA AIDARA WASHINGTON BASED TFM CORRESPONDENT HAVE DENIED THE ARRESTS OR DETENTION OF AMADOU SAMBA
Banjul Focus Admin.
Following a story that is ravaging public opinion like wild fire facts are emerging to counter everything that was reported to that effect. Per contents of conflicting versions on social media with reference to the above subject matter, sources within the Senegalese intelligence services and or law enforcement agents are vehemently  debunking what was reported therein. Facts have also revealed that what was reported on the arrest and detention of Amadou Samba in Dakar is definitely not accurate.
This evening Mr Aidara an investigative journalist   reached out to the concerned parties therefore was able to get Samba on the phone. Amadou is far from being arrested let alone detained. Whoever reported his arrest must have premeditated the act with a hidden agenda out of Ill will. Officials of the Senegalese government or security personnel Aidara spoke to said neither is Zeinab Jammeh, wife of former Gambian dictator Yahya Jammeh detained in Dakar.
Zeinab, was not in Dakar during recent days and has never been arrested nor detained.
Neither has Dakar facilitated it for  Mrs Jammeh to invest in Senegal.
In separate development Banjul Focus Admin team  has equally received information refuting the idea that photos showing Amadou Samba and President Barrow together  were meant to show cordial relations between the duo. Amadou Samba invested in a hospital being built by Dr James Ndow. James contacted Samba when he began the project for the latter to invest in it. Therefore on the day the foundation stone was being laid Dr Ndow extended a special invitation to Samba like any other party who invested in the project. Samba at the time was in Dakar but traveled home to attend the laying of the foundation stone. During the ceremony investors were asked to take a picture with  President Barrow. According to information Banjul Focus received from within, Samba was invited by  State House’s own protocol to join the group picture.  It is one Tony Banaa who suggested that Samba and him to flank Barrow in that picture. Which  was in no way indicating closeness between Barrow and Samba.
Meanwhile officials in Dakar and some journalists are dumbfounded because none of them could have  ever imagined that such a  story could keep spreading when every thing in there  was  not the least close to facts.
Relations between Dakar and Banjul have recently improved but stories like these are not helping establish a  lasting trust.
Before closing this chapter be informed that Amadou Samba has never been arrested neither did Zeinab come to Dakar Senegal to invest.
END.

Whatever the case may be, arrested in Dakar or not, Samba should have been helping, in his capacity as one of Jammeh’s principal enablers and main financial supporter and indeed adviser (in his own words), privy to all the former regime’s dubious and devious deals as well it’s shadiness and crookedness, the ongoing investigations into the 22 years of APRC misrule, graft and corruption.

Instead, he is gallivanting and globetrotting scot free whilst others are being detained and investigated, for whatever reasons.

Definitely, this is certainly not the “change” for transparency, accountability and justice that we all fought and bled for.

    True.

Nobody accuses Samba of any wrong doings but only being privy to some of the wrong doings of former despotic leader Jammeh.

He was one of Jammeh’s closest enablers and APRC financiers. This is the incontrovertible fact, known to all and sundry, including the present government or any Truth Commission for that matter.

As such, he is in a position to help any ongoing investigations into Jammeh’s ill-gotten wealth, especially at the expense of Gambia’s taxpayers.

Of course, there are other Jammeh former enablers, even within the Coalition government, now occupying ministerial and ambassadorial positions or whatever.

    History will certainly judge us.

Remember, as the holy Quran teaches us:

“When Truth comes, Falsehood vanishes” and Falsehood is forever a vanishing thing.

Truth will definitely come somehow and someday when we least expect it.
